STORM ON THE TABLE FOR THURSDAY. There is still on storm potential for the Mid Atlantic and Northeast on Thursday into Friday..to me this does not lool like a big deal..so what else is new this year... Currently the storm that's moving through right now was pretty amped up pulling in all the Upper level warm air just about to the US Canada border...This has cause the steering flow to become more flat, allowing the Next system much less breathinhg room..it would not surprise me in the least if the Models with each run slide the system off to the south of New England. Time will tell. Please respect the posts and the others here reading them..Comments welcome but be respectful..this is not FB we have a door here. SIGNIFICANT ICE EVENT. Significant icing. Portions of central Pennsylvania..As precipitation moves in this evening, it will start as a little snow and sleet, then quickly turn to a mix of sleet and freezing rain, and then to predominantly freezing rain which will last for much of the rest of the night. Some areas may warm enough to turn to plain rain before ending. Where it Remains Freezing Rain you can expect ice accumulations between one quarter and one half of an inch. Power outages and tree damage are likely due to the ice. Travel could be nearly impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute. In New Hampshire, Strafford County. In Maine, Interior York and Coastal York Counties. Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches, sleet accumulations of around 1/2 of an inch and ice accumulations of up to one quarter of an inch expected. Some Power Outages can be expected.
